Description

These are taken from the collection of an avid fossil hunter's estate. The largest are around 3" long, the container in the photo is about the size of a shoe box (container not included in auction, I wrapped them all in bubble wrap and put them in a box). I do not know anything about any of the fossils other than the fact that many look like turtle or tortoise shells. There are others in there as well, including one that is very interesting looking that resembles the top of a starfish (but I don't think that's what it is).
The collector who owned these did a lot of digging in pits in Florida, specifically the Leisey Pit in Ruskin, Florida (most of their collection was labelled with this) and the lots that I have listed on here represent a mix of invertebrates, aquatic vertebrates and terrestrial vertebrates with a predominance of the latter.
