Authentic Vintage Japanese Kendo Mask w Neck Guard

This is a vintage Kendo face mask. Not sure of the age, but it is an authentic Japanese piece with kanji tag sewn inside the neck flap - see pic.
The mask is made from a finely crafted graphic steel and leather with a black quilted cotton.
There is still some remnant of the original red lacquer that adorned the steel - you can still see the full red on the inside facing steel.
Overall, this mask is in great shape for its age, but this a used piece and there is wear throughout - see pics. The laces are really long on this piece and have gotten a bit dirty over the years - could use a washing or replacing. The mask is not marked as to size but I am 6ft. w/ a medium build and it fits my face tightly.
Could be a great display piece too but this thing is a tank, I'm sure it could still be used as it was initially intended.
