    Description

    Beautiful Handcrafted Birdseye Maple Hinged Box.
    This handcrafted box measures L16” x W7 1/2” x H8”. All sides including the lid are made of Birdseye maple. Footed. There is no signature to indicate who crafted this beautiful wooden piece. There is a name (?) scrawled on inside bottom by a possible owner. Overall The box s in very nice shape. Finished nicely. There is one small wood flaw on the inside by one of the hinges which I try to show in my pictures. Does not at all weaken the strength/usefulness of the hinge. I would guess it was used as a possible treasure chest, sewing box or document box. Hard telling. What I do know for sure is that it is a lovely Birdseye vintage box that a talented craft person made many years ago. Questions? Text me.
