Probably the nicest enamel work you’ll ever find on a piece of Rubin Matte. Pontil filled in and finished. Blown into the bronze mounting. Museum worthy in all aspects. Nice!!!
Old seller/collector back at it and parting with a few items from my personal collection. Let me start by saying this piece is absolutely stunning. Condition is near perfect. I see a pin head size loss in leaf on the gold enameling directly center in the last photo (near the tip). This isn’t the type of Loetz glass you see at auction very often. It definitely has a lot going for it. It is made out to ruby glass which is a rarely used color. The surface is iridescent with purple, green on the top, and has added gold toward the base. The enameled iris decoration is phenomenal in a art nouveau style. It’s mounted on a bronze mount which is elaborately decorated with strawberries, leaves, and flowers. Notice the glass bends as it enters the mount so that it is seated. Possibly blown directly into the mount as it was made. It’s a smaller piece which is easy to display and also not a common size. I’d consider it a cabinet vase which falls into a category with the upper echelons for this maker. I think it’s nicer and rarer than the most expensive piece that has sold on eBay in the last 90 days (and that was for a little more than 3k). Don’t miss your opportunity to invest in a special piece. A truly unique piece of history, piece of art, and piece of eye candy! And, ask questions if needed. I’d be happy to help.
