    Description

    This is an authentic oreodont skull from the White River Group. Exact locality data is not known for this particular specimen. There is no restoration on this piece, but there were several fragments that have been reattached with Paraloid B-72. This skull has a very unusual and beautiful combination of periwinkle, white, and grey coloration. It is also fully prepped out of matrix, which is uncommon for oreodont skulls. Due to geologic distortion, the tooth rows of the upper and lower halves of the skull don’t fit perfectly, but they will sit nicely on one side and so balance well enough to display nicely without a stand.
