Dovecote Woodworking reclaimed Pacific Yew wood hand turned small twig vase

Description

Beautiful small twig or dry bud vase. Looks so pretty with dried lavender in it.
Hand turned from reclaimed Pacific Yew wood found on Goat Mountain in the Cascade Foothills near Estacada Oregon. No tree was killed. It was already dead and now repurposed.
This wood really speaks for itself but is also so very difficult to capture in photos the color, hue and grains. Yes, there are even some purples in this warm rich colored wood.
Really nice grain and colors. Rare wood.slow growing.
Normally most yew is full of checks and small cracks but this one is without.
Finished with wipe on polyurethane with a buffed wax top coat.
Approximately 2 3/8" in diameter at the widest point, , 4" tall, 5/8" opening.
4.3 ounces unpacked weight.
Would make a great gift.
Signed and dated on the bottom by the craftsman.
