Vintage photograph of author Dashiell Hammett, star George Raft, and director Frank Tuttle on the set of the 1935 film noir. Snipe, stamps, and annotations on the verso, all indicating that this photo was used a number of times since it was struck in 1935.
Based on the 1931 novel by Hammett, and the third time one of his novels was adapted to the screen, preceded by "The Maltese Falcon" (1931) and "The Thin Man" (1934).
