Based on Philip Barry's 1939 play. A socialite with plans to marry is interrupted by her ex-husband, as well as a tabloid journalist and his partner, a female photographer. Winner of two Academy Awards, including Best Actor for James Stewart and Best Adapted Screenplay, and nominated for four others, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Katharine Hepburn, and Best Supporting Actress for Hussey.
