Handy Crafts Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper for dark fabric is fun and easy to work with. Just follow these instructions to make your garments come to life!
1) Print your design on the clear side of the heat transfer paper (opposite the side with the grid markings) using an inkjet printer and let dry for a couple of hours (do not mirror the image).
Note: It's a good idea to test printing the design on a regular piece of paper first to see if it looks as intended.
2) Cut out the design from the rest of the paper.
3) Iron or heat press the receiving prewashed garment to get rid of any moisture and wrinkles.
Note: It's best to use garments that have already been washed and dried so they don't shrink and distort the design after washing.
4) Peel the design layer from the backing.
5) Place the design facing up on the garment.
6) Place the parchment paper included in the pack on top of the design.
7) Iron on hottest setting or heat press at 340F (170C) on top of parchment paper using light to medium pressure for 10 - 20 seconds. Do not use steam.
8) Remove iron or heat press and parchment paper.
9) Enjoy your new design!
*Wait at least 24 hours before first wash. Wash cold inside out and hang dry.
