This book/booklet was published 1940 by the Board of Tourist Industry Japanese Government Railways. "JAPAN'S ANCIENT ARMOUR"  was published to aid in tourists learning more about the culture and history of Japan. Many photos of the different eras of the armour and also describing the Samurai warrior who wore the suits.  Also a section on where one can view good armour.  Armour displayed from Aomori prefecture in the N or Honshu down thru Tokyo to Kyushu and also Shikoku.  I'm sure most if not all of these museums and/or castle displays are still there for all to see. 84 ppgs with some useful information about Armour and it's terminology , culture, etc. Just a nice addition to a armour collector , samurai warrior or Japanophile wanting to know something of a special type of warrior makeup.   Overall in very nice condition soft bound with just light wear to the covers - no splits no tears.
