Maple Deer Box ....Only one of it's kind ....Each of my boxes are 1 at a time by me ....Made from spalted maple ...Deer carving scene that wraps totally around the outside of the box as one picture like scene .
Top made from the same tree with a real deer antler handle , all antlers I use is reclaim ...simply just picked up off the ground when the deer shred them .
Over all measures approx. at 12 inches long and 7 1/2 wide and 9 1/2 high .
Boxes base measures approx.12 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide 7/8 thick .....out side of the box section measures approx. 10 inches long and 5 inches wide and 3 3/4 high ...inside of the box measures approx. 8 1/2 long and 3/1/2 wide and 3 1/2 deep ....the top measures approx. 11 inches long  and 6 inches wide and 2 inches thick ...the bottom of the top is hollowed out a little to keep the weight down , there was a crack that happened after I finished milling , I made it a little bigger and filled in with brown epoxy . There a small knot that broke and fill in the same .Bottom to the sides is screwed and glued together for a long lasting and enjoyment . Top is one solid piece except the deer antler handle , the base is one solid piece too . One solid piece for each side .
Will look so nice on a mantle or on a shelf in a cabin holding matches and candles .

Handcrafted wooden items can stored for a long time and brought out to be admired and used again and be in " style " ..... other type items come and go like a bad storm .

The kidney shape box with butterflies carved and filled with clear epoxy is made from American Oak .Approx. 8 inches long and approx. 3inches  wide 1 1/4 deep .
