Description
This listing is for one of the largest ever offered on Ebay Giant ultra rare beautiful example of a Saber-toothed Cat (Machairodus horribiis) from Eurasia. It was the largest of the scimitar-toothed cats and was slightly larger in size than the much later Smilodon populator from South America! It was larger than the famed Smilodon fatalis from North America and slightly larger than the largest of today's modern day cats! This large skull was excavated in sediment approx.1.2 million years ago from the Pleistocene epoch. It measures just shy of 19 inches long along the curve of the skull from the incisors to the back edge of the Sagital Crest!! Moreover, the canines measure approximately 4.5 inches exposed and almost 8 inches in total length!!! This skull has been expertly prepared and is one of the best examples ever offered on E-bay!. Skull comes with beautiful exotic Brazilian Burl Walnut stand!!! Again, as with all of my fossils, I offer a lifetime no questions asked return policy if ANY of my fossils are deemed fake. Just supply the documentation from an accredited lab, university, or museum and I will refund your money. I do not sell fakes or reproductions unless stated in the description! That being said, there is very very minor restoration on this fossil. Probably less than 3%!!! Only very very minor crack fill and stabilization. These are disappearing quickly with very few in this condition popping up on Ebay or other internet fossil sites due to China's ban on fossil exportation. This particular specimen comes from an old collection dating back to the mid-80's and I recently decided to offer this spectacular fossil for sale! Please check out my other incredible fossil listings!! I really really do not want to ship this fossil as it is fragile. I will ship for an additional 00.00 if the buyer understands that i cannot gurantee that zero damage will occur. I will double box and pack the fossil securely with foam and bubble wrap. I have done a pretty good job in the past as very rarely has any damage been reported. Just check my perfect feedback!!Since it had been stabilized, if any "shedding" does occur it should be minor and require simple gluing to restore. I will also deliver this fossil up to 1000 miles round trip for an additional charge. Thanks for looking!!!
