This superb
Iridescent Art
Glass Vase was produced in the Art Nouveau period by the premier Bohemian art glass manufacturer Johann
Lotz
Witwe in Klostermuhle, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary. Loetz's work are among the most outstanding examples of Art Nouveau. The
Candia Mimosa decor is well documented on the Loetz.com website, with a production date of circa. 1907. Depicted in Candia ground with
Craquele surface. If you think gold iridescent crocodile skin you would be very close to the effect.
It measures approximately 7.75" (19.7cm) H x 5.5" (14cm) W, opening 5" (12.7cm). A bulbous shape with a scalloped rim, the
base has a polished pontil. The antique vase
is in excellent condition with no defect at all to report - my photographs really don't do justice to the beautiful lustre.
This is an exceptional piece of period art nouveau iridescent glass produced by one of the very best glasshouses!
