Description
For auction is a lovely centerpiece bowl made by Loetz Klostermuehle of Bohemia which is now the modern day Czech Republic. The pattern is called " Creta Chine' " and it is quite pleasing. The centerpiece bowl is rather large as it stands 5 5/8" tall and has a diameter of 9" in diameter at its widest point at the bulge in the side. The centerpiece bowl displays a nice ruffled top border. It sits on 3 applied swirl ribbed rolled edge feet. The detail in the feet is just splendid. The base glass is a translucent deep emerald green in color. There is an applied green glass threading over this base glass and then it is fused into the surface. This style of glass was called "Creta" (Green) Chine by the Loetz glass blowers. The Iridescence exterior treatment is soft and not over powering. You can see beautiful hues of blues and purples inside the threading. This bowl is very European in design and shape.
The bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The applied threading seems to be all intact. This is considered Rare for this decor as there is usually damage. The Bowl is not signed as is typical with this product line. It more than likely had a paper label. The bowl does display a fire polished and rolled top edge as well as having a counter sunk polished Pontil. This is the sign of a quality piece of Art Glass. T
he Vase shows signs of use inside as you can see scratches on the inside bottom and is commensurate with its age.
This is a lovely centerpiece bowl that is not so commonly found without damage. This is also the largest version of this Decor in Loetz that I have been able to document over the past 10-15 years. You Loetz collectors will welcome this fine addition into your collection. This pattern is very early in the Loetz production as it was made, circa 1887-1899.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
merchandise
unless it is paid for.
They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.5% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.5%. This is an increase of 8.6% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.5% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
