Hi, Here is a vintage Madame Alexander composition doll who measures 21" and who is "Karen Ballerina", and who was made in around the 1940's. She is completely re-dressed in a style that I tried to copy from another doll who still had her original dress on. The new dress is made of vintage rayon tulle in blue with vintage gold metallic rick rack trim, and silk ribbons at each shoulder in blue. She also has silk underpants with cotton lace trim and her shoes are made of silk fabric with silk ribbon ties, I made the shoes and I am still trying to improve my "shoe making" skills, but they tie with pink silk ribbons. Her hair was still in the original style but somewhat loose so I did tidy it up a little and added the vintage blue "forget-me-nots" and newer "roses". The black velvet wrist bows are attached to the tulle ballet dress so she can hold it up, although her stringing isn't as tight as I think it would have originally been, and she also has a vintage black velvet choker neck bow. I did try to dress her like I have seen pictures of other composition Karen Ballerinas. The last photo shows a similar "Karen Ballerina" doll from a book I have, but the pictured doll is a later hard plastic version. Please see all of the photos and ask me any questions you may have, I will be happy to answer. She doesn't have a stand. US shipping would be .00 for priority mail insured...thank you for looking...Margie
