    The doll comes with the original dress, shoes, stockings, bloomers, and hair bow. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her clothing has no stains or tears.  She comes from a smoke free environment.
    Her eyes open and close with a little help.
    The box is in great shape with minor scuff marks and light creases typical of storage.  The original store price tag is still on the box.  It was .99.   She is in excellent, near mint condition and would make a wonderful gift or addition to any collection.

    Bertha "Beatrice" Alexander Behrman (March 9, 1895 - October 3, 1990) also known as "Madame Alexander" was an iconic figure in the world of toys and dolls. She grew up surrounded by dolls.  Her father owned a doll hospital, repairing porcelain dolls.  She founded the Alexander Doll Company, employing her sisters and neighbors, in 1923, believing that dolls should not only be beautiful but loved and played with.  For nearly 100 years, the Madame Alexander Doll Company has been creating dolls with meaning, significance, reflecting on important moments in history and culture. People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these beautiful quality dolls.
