Madame Alexander Doll "Pen Pals" from the Americana Series introduced in 2004.
She is style #38505 and stands 8" tall. She comes in her original box which is in good condition with her hang tag.
She has been stored in a climate controlled, smoke-free home and displayed in a glass cabinet out of the sun.
Her blue and white cotton check dress has a wide sailor collar trimmed in red. There is an insert under the collar with red and white horizontal stripes. The white puff sleeves are also trimmed in a solid red band. There is a beautiful piece of embroidered lace around the bottom of the skirt. She wears a white cotton half slip trimmed in lace and solid white tights. Her "stand alone" shoes are red velvet and buckle/snap across her ankle.
Her red/blonde hair is long and curly tied on each side with red ribbons. Her eyes are dark blue.
Her letter and picture of her pen pal have never been removed from the box.
It is a precious theme and she looks like the All American Girl writing to her pen pal or sweetheart.  She will come her Kaiser stand shown in the pictures.
