The second of three adaptations of the Broadway play "Burlesque," following "The Dance of Life" (1928) and preceding "When My Baby Smiles at Me" (1948). The second teaming of Lombard and MacMurray with Mitchell Leisen, after the classic screwball comedy "Hands Across the Table" (1935), and the third of four on screen pairings between Lombard and McMurray.
