Ozark Carving 1-Charles Widmer Master Carver Ozark Folk Center 2- Unknown Carver

Description

A pair of hand carved wood carvings. The first piece, a mountain women, was carved by the master carver Charles Widmer, Ozark Folk Center, Arkansas. Mr. Widmer no longer carves, but has become a fine jewelry craftsman. His carvings include a Bald Eagle on display in the Jimmy Carter Presidential Center. The second carving is a mountain man who is needing an outhouse. Notice the outhouse carved on the front of the piece. The carver is unknown for the mountain man. Both carvings stand about 11" tall. Both have felt on their base. Pieces are in great vintage condition. Any questions or pictures, just ask. Thanks for your consideration.
