Pacific Yew Stash Jar / Lidded Box! ~ Dovecote Woodworking ~ (375)

Description

A beautiful hand turned small lidded box or wood jar made from salvaged Oregon Pacific Yew wood.  Really beautiful colors and grain, the details in this little piece are stunning!  The inside and bottom is as high of quality as the outside.  No sanding scratches or torn grain.
Believe it or not, these little pieces take just as long   or longer to make as a larger turning!  I spent 4 hours on this one.
It is  2 5/8" tall and 2 1/8" diameter at the base.  It is slightly tapered and larger at the base.  The lid doesnt fit tightly, this is NOT a friction fit lid.  Finished with Howard's Feed n Wax (beeswax and orange oil)
Weighs 2 ounces.
I take a lot of pride in my work, and no shortcuts are taken in any part of the creation process.
