Quilted Maple Pencil Box ~ Dovecote Woodworking ~ (390)

Description

A beautiful hand crafted pencil box, made from quilted Oregon Bigleaf Maple wood.  I made it using splined miter joints for added strength and a nice detail with the darker walnut accents.  The lid slides open and closed easily, and comes all the way out.
Finished with durable polyurethane, its very smooth and has a satin sheen.  The quilting in the wood has a neat ripple effect or chatoyancy.
It is  8 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide, and 2" tall.
Weighs 7 ounces.
Hand made at our family shop, Dovecote Woodworking in Estacada Oregon.
