TAHITIAN ROSEWOOD 7 3/4" CARVED FISH BOWL, TOURIST ITEM, WELL-MADE & UNIQUE!

This is a really nice, Pre-Owned,
GOOD CONDITION, ROSEWOOD CARVED FISH from TAHITI.
Likely made for the tourist market, this nicely detailed Fish is a "Fish Bowl."  It's shaped like a Fish and rounded-out in the center so you can place items or perhaps snacks.  It actually looked like it was used as an ashtray--when we received it, it was very dusty with the center looking smudged with ash and there was also what looked to be a drop of wax on the top edge, which we also removed.  We lightly cleaned it with a bit of wood oil cleaner and it looks really nice.  Some of the photos are a bit dark; others are light because we wanted to pick up the beautiful "ring" pattern especially to the carved-out center.  There may still be a light bit of dust to the Piece in the grooves, but it is in overall good condition with minor surface wear to the wood.  It may easily be cleaned-up and polished if desired.  This nice-looking Fish is one piece and sits flat.  There are simple, well-carved details to the Fish with beautiful color and natural graining pattern to the wood.  There are light, natural imperfections to the wood.  The Fish is nearly 7 3/4" long, 4" across at the center, 1 1/2" high and approx. 20" around.   The center of the Fish is smoothly carved out being approx. 4" across with a depth of approx. 1 1/4" and 10 1/4" around.  1 1/4" long
TAHITI
is carved into wood at the edge of the center at the "tail" end. The bottom of the Fish is smooth also with beautiful coloring and graining.  You can see the remnants of a sticker, which may likely be cleaned.  Please take a look at the many photos taken for you to get a good look at this item.  Super sweet wooden fish carving--dozens of decorative ideas w/this fish.  Please feel free to ask ???'s prior to purchasing; our response time is usually fast.  Item comes from a home shared w/a pup.
