Also, the guides are useful before playing with a new partner - you look at the guide together asking, "Do you do this?, do you do that...?" The booklet is worth the price, even if you only ever use 2 or 3 of the 25 conventions. My copy has gotten so ragged that the entire cover is covered with scotch tape, and many people ask me where I got it.
