Yew Wood Live Edge Bowl! Wildfire Salvaged Wood ~ Dovecote Woodworking ~ (367)

Description

A beautiful hand turned bowl made from fire salvaged Oregon Pacific Yew wood.  This is an end-grain natural edge bowl, so the outside of the log is the rim of the bowl. About 5.5 - 6.5" in diameter and 3.25" tall.
Weighs 4 ounces.
I used Howard's Feed n wax fir the finish, it is a mixture of bees wax and orange oil.  Has a great natural look and smooth feel to it.
I take a lot of pride in my work, and no shortcuts are taken in any part of the creation process.  Signed and dated on the bottom.
This is one of many of Yew trees that died in the Riverside wildfire of 2020 🔥  My goal is always to use dead wood that is salvaged or reclaimed.
