    Merchants Union Express Company. Stock certificate issued in 1867, stamp cancelled. Black border and print, vignette of express wagon pulling away from a warehouse. Hatch & Co., NY. Conidtion issues: heavy toning, creases/wrinkles, rough edges (especially bottom). 9 x 11.5" This company was in direct competition with American Express until they merged in 1868.
